NEW DELHI: Two terrorists, suspected of being involved in the recent murder of two police officers, were killed in an encounter in J & K’s Pampore.
A joint team of police, army and CRPF has been fighting the terrorists in the Drangbal Pampore area in the Pulwama district of South Kashmir since Saturday morning. The search operation was launched after receiving information about the presence of some Lashkar terrorists in the area, an official said.

LeT terrorist Umar Mustaq Khandey, who was behind the killing of two policemen, SgCT Mohd Yousf and Ct Suhail Ah in Baghat, was among the dead, police said.
Earlier on Friday, Vijay Kumar, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir said that a total of 11 terrorists have been killed so far in eight encounters by security forces after the recent killings of civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.
On Friday, two terrorists, suspected of being involved in the recent attacks on civilians, were shot dead in separate clashes in the Bemina area of Srinagar and Wahibug in Pulwama.
