Nagpur Municipal Corporation rapid intervention averted a major accident on Friday at Manish Nagar Underpass.
One of the portions of the lighting installed at the Manish Nagar underpass was damaged and was hanging from the ceiling which could have been a cause for any major accident, however, hours after this was found NMC acted swiftly and the repair work was done.

The underpass was built in 2020, to ease the traffic at the Manish Nagar Railway crossing which was a major hurdle for the people who travel through that route.
However, poor maintenance and waterlogging issue during monsoon are one of the major issues faced by commuters while using the underpass. Many have been found using the underpass to travel to Wardha road which can be fatal for others.
