On Tuesday, Army Chief General M M Naravane visited forward regions along the Line of Control in the Jammu region, where he was briefed on the ground situation and continuing counter-infiltration operations, according to officials. According to them, the Army Chief is in Jammu on a two-day visit.
Officials stated Naravane visited forward regions of the White Knight Corps and assessed the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) firsthand.
His visit to Jammu and Kashmir comes at a time when there has been a slew of civilian killings in the Kashmir valley. Eleven civilians have been killed by militants in the Valley this month.
